The BBC wants your olde Ballycastle & Lammas Fair films...

I am contacting you about a BBC Northern Ireland series called 'Super 8 Stories' . I was wondering if you know anyone who might be interested in contributing to the series. We are looking for home movies, cine films in any format (i.e. super 8, standard 8 and 16mm). These will be amateur films made in the era of cine, they don't have to be expertly filmed but they do have to be in colour. I am particularly interested in finding amateur films of the Lammas Fair and Ballycastle. I am aware of the programme 'Lit By Love and Sunshine' and know there's a lot of great film of Ballycastle in it. The problem is we're not just a cine show, we involve the film makers or people who are in the film. So ideally for the Lammas Fair we'd like to find film made by someone who has a few stories to tell about their own experiences of the Fair, someone for whom it meant something. Maybe it's just someone who remembers the town being transformed by all the stalls etc. I'd appreciate your thoughts on how we might find people with this type of film. Also we're open to whatever is given in to us and would really like to hear from anyone who has cine or who might be able to put us in touch with someone with films.
